ABOUT

My name is Riley Kinnane, I have been a craftsman for over ten years now. I began working for my fathers custom woodworking shop in 2012. There I started learning the basics of cabinetry, joinery, and millwork. Interested in a broader understanding of residential construction, I spent the following year working for a general contractor based out of coastal Rhode Island. My experience there has proven invaluable, learning the systems, processes, and sequencing of ground up construction. A thirst for life on the west coast brought me to San Francisco, CA in 2014. I worked for an interior designer for one year repairing furniture and designing photography sets. Furniture repair forced me to reverse engineer how quality home goods are made and set design helped hone my eye for interior decorating. In 2015 I returned to work with my father in a truly custom woodworking shop. Here I began an intentional career in woodworking and assisting in running a small business. Over the past decade I have developed a wide variety of skills that compliment my craftsmanship, work ethic, and business management. I began my apprenticeship strictly improving upon my building skills in cabinetry, furniture, and millwork. As I gained confidence in my ability to build high quality goods I expanded my responsibilities to shop maintenace, project management and customer relations. Balancing these roles I have created an ability to work on builds of varying scale and the confidence to successfully cooperate with all parties integral to the scope of a project.
